Chainsaw safety training this weekend

Carlisle Academy at Spring Creek Farm, 65 Drown Lane, Lyman, will host a chainsaw safety training course Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This one-day session is limited to eight participants and costs $100 per person, including food and drinks. Rain/snow date is the following Saturday, Dec. 14.

 

The class will be taught by Mike St. Peter Safety Services and provide hands-on safety and operations training for chainsaw users. They have trained thousands of folks in safe and productive tree felling, including the University of Maine School of Forest Resources, the Maine Certified Logging Professionals Program, and many others. Anyone who works with a chainsaw full or part time will benefit from this hands-on technical training.
